STOW HARD-TO-RECYCLE ITEMS
After you sign up, we’ll give you bags to stow used lightbulbs, batteries, and those tricky “spring cleaning” items you can’t seem to find a way to recycle correctly.

LET ‘EM GO
Curb or stoop; Every two weeks we’ll ask you to place your stow box (and bags) in front of your home on the assigned day.
We’ll come to you to swap out your stow bags with new ones. Your attendance is not required at pick-up, though we’ll always say hello to you or your pet if we see you!

LIGHTBULBS
While it's been easy (and often legal) to throw many household light bulbs away; we're all better off capturing and reusing the key elements of each, (tungsten-incandescent, mercury - CFL or circuit boards and rare earth metals in LED’s)
BATTERIES
Whether they’re traditional household batteries, rechargeable, or lithium-ion, all can be recycled through Stow. We make sure to properly funnel each battery type, which will allow them to go through their own recycling stream.
spring cleaning
That pile of miscellaneous “stuff?” We’ll send it to our partners who find purpose in the metals and wires found in circuit boards, the ability to repurpose films into new consumer products, and more!
